Please Welcome New Trusted User mintspider!
« on: May 17, 2020, 08:02:34 am »
Our fave online peppermintOS addict mintspider is a Scotsman living in Kentucky... he's perhaps more well known in the peppermint friendly youtube world... We'd offered this to him a while back, but the current world wide strangeness has made him busier than ever...

He's got some catching up to do...

Appreciate the trust Spence!
My main system is Solus Budgie, but love having Peppermint 10 Respin on my Alienware M15x laptop and recommend Peppermint to those looking to move from Windows.
Yup, a LOT to catch up on.
Someone has to take up the slack from Steve! ;)

This announcement went out on my 21st anniversary of being in the USA!!!

As posted in Social Media:
21 years ago today, on 17th May 1999, a plane left Glasgow, Scotland, landing in Newark, New Jersey.
I was a passenger on that plane.
Been in USA for the majority of my adult life, being 32 when I arrived here.
Thank you to USA family, friends, & workmates for suffering me!!!

For those that don't know, I work for God's Pantry Food Bank https://godspantry.org/ as the Food Procurement and Reporting Officer.
Basically, I spend the money (budget of over $2M) and supply the numbers.
My work system is MS based with Outlook, Excel, Jet Reports, and Navision via server remote app.
Currently have a  work Windows 8.1 desktop and Windows 10 laptop.
I often say in my almost 21 years of Food Banking that it is the only job I have ever truly enjoyed that I absolutely wish did not exist!!

Welcome to the club mintspider.

I'm often referred to a confused Westie by the natives, when visiting my relatives, as I lived in England most of my life. Hey ho.

regards cavy   :D
