Updated photo for @spence
Slowly getting there with my beard...

How long ago did you ask your other half to hide the trimmers from you?

I didn't .... have been my own hair and beard trim barber for 21 years.
This is about the furthest I have let my beard grow, and this is about 2 months from the last no guide trim.
Once my neck is no longer showing in t-shirt photos I might consider trim maintenance.

was meaning to imply, asking your other half to hide them from you, so you can't use them.

 ;)

I have to hide my trimmers so my other half doesn't cut my beard off while I am sleeping, he's not a fan.

 :(

So here's a reveal for everyone who hasn't yet watched my debut on Linux Coffee Klatch, it's been three months since I hid my trimmers from my other half...

I kept badgering PCNetSpec for a bearded emoji

I'm heading back to this... which was a three year journey of no trimming
  :o

 ;)

Now that we're sharing selfies  :)

BTW, if you're curious poster framed poster behind me is a portion of an old Linux kernel printed and font colors adjusted to create tux

The Shopify store linked in this search result defunct but there might be similar products out there.

Great to see more of you... you already have your photo in your avatar. Mine is always Spidey everywhere.
That's cool about the kernel printout!

Unfortunately, I can only grow the goatee. Too menu thumb sized gaps on my cheek for a full beard.

I use my portrait in the avatar and real name as a way to be more approachable online. I figured once I took over the web admin stuff from Mark it was a good way to build trust and hold myself accountable to my friends here. :)

that's what leaving it grow for weeks covers up...

Coming of internet age back in Washington DC while hubster worked in BigFedGov, our privacy was sacrosanct. Never mind that I've been hiding from extended family for most of my adult life. I have dozens of aliases, Mark Zuckerberg be damned, but I have great need of multiple identities across the www...

I'm sure VinDSl could staple them all together, but my unwanted family members are not that saavy...

Whovian! 9, 12, and 13th doctors are my personal favorites at the moment. Also having Ubuntu Unity pop up in a few episodes makes an honorable mention for the 11th doctor :D
