Rayzar
Thanks  OK  I used sudo command.  The selection does not show up in the pull down menu of the "Customize look and feel"  Any ideas.
Hopeful,
Dee

when you open customize look and feel you need to click on the icons tab, then on the faenza in the list (both ive highlighted yellow) then hit apply on the bottom right. hopefully that works for you

For wallpapers ive made you can download them here

Hey Rayzer;
(sorry for double posting; cause i ask in the other thread too)

Is there, and how...
a way to do THIS (pls. also step by step)

Quote
then
Code: [Select]
sudo wget https://peppermintos.info/misc/PM6-Peppermix-Icons.tar.gz
then
Code: [Select]
sudo tar xvf PM6-Peppermix-Icons.tar.gz
then
Code: [Select]
sudo rm -v PM6-Peppermix-Icons.tar.gz
now close the terminal.

the tar file in that tutorial is inaccessible, unless you already have the folder downloaded then its not possible at the moment.

that tutorial basically shows you how to download, extract then remove the source tar afterwards via terminal.
i find using lxappearance the easiest way to install icons as its all gui, otherwise you just take the icons folder and move it to either /usr/share/icons or .local/share.icons in your home directory.
For wallpapers ive made you can download them here

Yep i got this; and also, that this "version"/Way wouldn t be poss in future too - cause there are no plans, to store the img. too

But maybe there is a other way (cause new notebook) to get the old (peppermint 6 ) Icons back

open customize look and feel from the menu then click on the icons tab. under the list of icons theres a + button. use that and browse to the icons location..

it only uses certain archive formats so if doesnt pick up your archive, youll need to extract the archive then compress it again into the required type

UPDATE:
found an old pep6 live cd and ripped it to an iso then back to usb. managed to grab the peppermix folder off it and here it is.

Try reading the post immediately above your last, where instructions were offered.

Sorry, my english isn t the best - be patient with me;
What i understand at the post above my last: The standart Icons are there
Okay, that i allready got

But i duno know to where i should copy the files from this archiv...
(and "how"; i am not used to all this "sudo do this and that")

Formaly i made all, as it is explained in the tutorial
(I never take care, what happend in the background; and whre are all the files etc.; finaly it was working; and this was okay for me)
(and sory, i m just user, not used Terminal and co)

So i do not know if this:
Code: [Select]
sudo tar xvf Peppermix.tar.gz (and followed)
made inside the "downloadfolder" by terminal,
is the correct way

If yes... okay, i will be fine,...
if no... than i need the help
in the moment i am unsure, but gratfull from the help of rayzer

Edit: Correction of the name of the tar file

open customize look and feel from the menu then click on the icons tab. under the list of icons theres a + button. use that and browse to the icons location..

You browse to the .tar, not what you extracted from it.
