Believe it or not, that used to be my favorite remedy for back pain - Bourbon & Aspirin   ;D

Ah the universal panacea approach. Though I much prefer a single malt Scotch.

I had a back problem for 12 years and misdiagnosed with Dopamine Responsive Dystonia. I had tried various therapies, usual without success, occasionally there would be: close, but no cigar. Sigh...!

Until this worked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SKuFe2SERs

I've been clear of pain, chronic headaches, blinding spasms or fallen over since June last year. It would seem be to a trapped nerve, which every quack told me I did not have. Hey ho.

@clatterfordslim respect fella...!

@rayzer glad you feel better and on the road to recovery.

@spence ditto with your recovery

regards cavy   :D

I never heard any shelter in place orders for AZ, would have ignored them anyway... sunshine and heat kills virii... and has done so since the beginning of time

 ::)

Yes but apparently this corona loves heat and can spread even more so, places like India well over populated, would hate to think what the death toll would be there. People here on this tiny Island I live on called the Isle of Wight have taken it upon themselves to think it okay to go out and socialize. I will never understand the logic of ordinary Man's thinking, pure and utter ignorance in my eyes, can only ask for trouble. We are not out of the water yet, as this virus I reckon could turn into something even more deadly. Dogs and cats and other animals can get it too, yet no one as far as I know have has not tested their beloved pet for corona.

Matter of taste(s), I suppose  :)

All Bourbons taste good, to my palate. But, given the choice, I'll always go with "Gentleman Jack" and "Bayer Aspirin" (the #1 selling pill in the world).

I've tried to like Scotch, over the years, but the only brand I'm able to get down my gullet is "Glenlivet."

From what I've gathered, Corona loves heat AND humidity.

We have loads of lovely heat here, but very low levels of humidity.

After 105° F, the heat even starts killing people; Corona infected or not...  ;D

That very much the same with Bourbon for me, though visiting Americans assure me I'd be wowed by Ol Papy.

aaaaaiiiiiiggggghhhhh bourbon... 40 years ago, this month... a bourbon laced punch nearly killed me and to this day, the mere smell makes me wretch... more for you bourbon lovers.

Gin is my aperitif of choice... whenever I am out of Ukrainian Vodka...

but I do love a nice smoky whisky...

Hi spence,

I'm a gin, tequila or bourbon type. Not much for smokey whisky, but I hear good things about Lagavulin -- have you ever tasted it?

Ironically... I first tasted it while in Kyiv Ukraine... it's divine...

Ironically, my hometown... :))

Sorta a fun story, there was a gorgeous restaurant very near our AirBNB in Kyiv... it was always nearly empty. Lots of extremely well dressed staff standing around. One day we decided to eat there. Kyiv is interesting because food is so utterly and extremely cheap.

This place wasn't... More interestingly, it was all about Scottish food... it ended up being one of our most expensive meals while we were there. I'd like to tell you I remember what we had, only remember that I enjoyed it. Hubster instantly remembered the name: Whisky Corner. I wouldn't have known as it was written in Cyrillic... here's their whisky menu

http://www.whiskycorner.kiev.ua/en/whisky/scotland/az_single_malts/

We settled in and ordered several rounds of different whiskys, Lagavulin was among them...

I can't wait to go back to Kyiv... and may well never return to the USA. Guess I'll be bunking with VinDSL

Not familiar with that brand, it has gone on the to try list. I have tried Bruichladdich and Ardmore, both gorgeous Islay whiskys, which are a rarity in pubs and supermarkets.

If it came to preference of the two, my memory taste buds would say Bruichladdich.

This is interesting cavy, I've had back pains since I was a teenager. I just have to find a bar to hang from. Thanks for the share.
What was I thinking?

Bought a basic chin up/dip frame from Amazon. The best fifty quid (£50) I've spent in yonks.   ;)

What a hoot, that was as daft as the real ale brigade. Warm British beer as you Americans would say.    :D
