Yup, the SSL Cert died. Kind of ironic, when you think about it   :(

What can we do about it, other than let Kendal know??
Not only is Peppermint an addictive OS to use.
But so is this Forum :)

I am not able to reach the main site https://peppermintos.com either.
Are these two things related?

Yes. The Chief was using a SSL cert that had a 90-day lifetime, e.g. it needed to be manually renewed every 90 days.

Unfortunately, the Chief has passed away, and the SSL cert key passed away with him.

Somebody with admin privs needs to figure out a workaround. Kendall would be a good start...   ;)

I'll request Mark's root credentials from Marcus and see if I can get this sorted out.

It's fixed!  Thank you, Marcus and josephd. :)
[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

Yep it was a bit of a marathon finding "the right tutorial" to fit our hosting environment. Even within Ubuntu there's a lot of variation in ways to get it done.
This is the relatively simple tutorial that finally worked. Now I just need to get us off of 14.04 and updated to 18.04 because Trusty is End of Life so its going to break down eventually.
