Black boot screen.
« on: March 24, 2014, 06:13:20 pm »
Just a quick question.  When I boot, is the boot screen supposed to remain black up to the log in screen?

No it shouldn't .. you should get the plymouth boot screens, but there seems to be a problem with certain hardware .. you might want to read the last few postings in this topic:,54.msg236.html#msg236
for a workaround.

Adding a GRUB background image .. when GRUB has a background image and Plymouth isn't displayed, it seems the GRUB background image is displayed right through the boot process.
