Most data are on external usb-drive. I usully work in Peppermint 9, but now and then in Windows. Now, I can open all files stored on that external drive in both systems. My question is, is it possible to encrypt files and / or folders under peppermint and decrypt and use  them in Windows? Its is mainly about  .docx- and PDF-documents.

Hi jozefmw,

This is not difficult to do if you use a cross-platform encryption tool such as the ones mentioned in this article (EncryptPad) or in this article (VeraCrypt, 7-Zip, and others). There are more such tools you can find using a DuckDuckGo search with the search term: cross-platform encryption;)
