Popping PulseAudio (SOLVED)
« on: December 23, 2019, 04:04:19 am »
As you know I'm using Peppermint 10 Respin and loving the pants out of it. The only gripe I've got is Pulseaudio. Sound works fine, but when it comes to notification sounds like in Thunderbird it does not want to know. I deleted the pulseaudio folder in hidden folders rebooted, but still nothing but a pop that lasts seconds with notification and also a pop when opening a YouTube Video, then the proper sound comes in. I have no idea if it's to do with 5.0 Kernel, though never had this problem before in the normal 4.15 Kernels.

Here is my specs.

Not only is Peppermint an addictive OS to use.
But so is this Forum :)

Have solved the problem, it cannot play message.ogg but can play the bell.ogg in
Code: [Select]
/usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo
So every time a message comes in it plays the bell nice and loudly too. I am a happy chappy, though miffed as to why it would not play any of the other sounds?  :-\ But it's working which is the main thing. Love to solve my own problems.  :D
