Well UKUU gave me 5.3.18, in the update manager, the choices I had was 5.3.0-19 to 5.3.0-24.  I never got a 5.3.0-18 choice.  But 5.3.0-19 gave me the same error as 5.3.0-24.

At least the one from UKUU works.

I'll probably end up sticking with the 2080 and all this for a 5.3 kernel is probably not worth it, but if I do save up for a RX 5700 XT, at least I can get a working 5.3 kernel.

I am very happy with the Pep 10 respin.

Just out of interest, why would you want to move from an RTX 2080 to an RX 5700 XT anyway ?

To be honest, mostly cause the ease of installing a distro and not having to deal with Nvidia drivers.  But I still haven't really decided if I'm going that route yet.

I'm just frustrated that if I use my 1080, I have no issues installing any distro and getting set up, but with this 2080, I've ran in the past, a couple of distros that one would install fine in legacy mode, but not UEFI, and another the other way around.

Where as the 1080 both would install fine in either Legacy or UEFI mode.

Granted there have been more Kernel updates since I ran into that so that may not be a issue anymore.

Plus in the games I run I see the same FPS in the 2080 as I did in my 1080.

The 2080 stays cooler cause it has 3 fans where as the 1080 is Founders edition with the one blower fan and to keep it close to the same temp, that fan spins loud and fast.

So I don't know, I do like the idea of not having to install drivers anymore, but I do like the great FPS in ETS2 and ATS that I get with this card.
