Well done Team Peppermint!!!
Flawlessly installed Pepp 10 Respin on Gnome Boxes to test it out.
Works great out of the box!
Even had fun playing Pinball.
Now awaiting the upgrade instructions to use on Pepp 10 installed on a laptop.
Great job y'all.

Congrats to the Peppermint Team for the nice work done. I moved to Peppermint a few months ago and I'm still here :)
Peppermint has stopped my search of the perfect Linux distro. I installed it on a 16Gb USB stick (just as other distros I was trying) and it's still plugged on my Vaio laptop since then. Even my HP scanjet G3110, that stopped working when win10 arrived, is now working again. So I will anxiously wait for the respin upgrade.
Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas to everybody!.

Congratulations to Mark and the team on the release of Pep 10 Respin.  Well done guys  ;)!  I'm looking forward to slapping it on to my laptops in the next few day.  I'm sure it'll not disappoint.  Why would it, it's Peppermint - the best distro on the planet :D!?

A very Merry Christmas  ;D to all the Peppermint gang.  If for whatever reason you don't celebrate Christmas, Season's Greetings and Good Cheer to you!  ;D.  I hope to be back in the saddle, so to speak in the New Year  ;).

Great to see you back Andy  :)

Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year  ;D ;D ;D

and that goes to ALL PEPPERMINT users as well

Best Regards Zeb...

Peppermint 10 Respin already installed and I'm now busy making it my own. Installation done in 5 minutes 8) :o :D

Knowing you're already on PM10 I'd figured you'd wait for the upgrade instructions Johan .. you're obviously very keen :))

Thanks for the compliment Mark, but I wouldn't be so sure  :P  Normally I would wait, but I was  very curious and that's why I installed it yesterday and finished all the bits and pieces this afternoon.

Hi Mr. Greaves, I have a couple of questions.
1st one is about the "web browser manager", does it install/uninstall browsers using snaps or flatpaks?, Or hopefully not?
2nd question is, Can it be installed using the terminal to my existing Pep 9 respin 2.

The only reason for my questions is the system that "He who should not be named" help me build for me, (Pep 9 respin 2), Is running so awesome and never has problems and supported to 2023 as he has told me, I do not see a reason to change it just yet, but that feature of the web browser manager sounds really nice to have.

It has a nice list of browsers from what i saw in the video, the only one i found missing was Slimjet Browser which I use along with the Brave browser, but could be fun to play with the others included to see if I like them or not without the usual ways of having to install and or uninstall them as i have done already.

It was also nice to see that your using the same equalizer that "He who should not be named" insisted I have in my respin2 as he said the other one included was "garbage", He also locked out updates to it because he says it would be replaced with the original garbage one. He even kept the original pkg installer because he thought that it might not be available in the future.

Thank you for reading and listening,

The Omen

It does NOT use flatpak or snap .. all browsers are installed as .deb's

I can see no reason it shouldn't work in PM9, but I make no guarantees (because it's not been tested there) .. if you want to give it a try, you can download the .deb here:
https://launchpad.net/~peppermintos/+archive/ubuntu/p10-respin/+files/peppermint-browser-manager_0.0.1.2_all.deb

OH WOW...it installed, I really got it.

Im almost afraid to try it out, please, I thank you so much.

When i get over the shock that iI really have this on Pep 9 respin and take it out for a ride, i will give you feed back, iI promise.

I was told not to expect this at all.

I will let you know if it works ok, just getting over the shock that it is available on a previous version of peppermint.

a side note here, chromium based browser as im typing is having sporadic freeze problem as i am typing, Im using Brave browser right now.

"He who should not be named" told me that this is an ongoing issue with version 79 chromium and chrome based browsers at this moment.

He reported this also in his Linux Mint forums that he is active on.

He contacted Brave and they listened and fixed his system and rolled out update but I have not got it yet myself.

browser keeps freezing as i type right now.

its taking me a lot of time with freeze ups to submit this message.

Thank you,

The Omen

I also did not expect that this came as a pkg manager download "box", so i saved it right next to the "xenial" equalizer box pkg as well.

Thank you so much Mr. Greaves.

I am just kinda blown away right now and i will play with it a little later.

Happy Christmas to you and thanks,

Th e Omen

PS, Im still getting a browse freeze with my browser, "He who should not be named" told me this is an ongoing chromium/chrome based browser problem with version 79 chromium base, and not an OS problem, and will not be resolved until update manager gives me new version to "fix" it
