the first error is:

stas@stas-HP-Laptop-15-da0xxx ~/rtl8723de $ sudo dkms add .rtl8723de
Error! Invalid number of arguments passed.
Usage: add <module>/<module-version> or
       add -m <module>/<module-version> or
       add -m <module> -v <module-version>

What can I do with that?

Thanks for your help!

is this Peppermint 10 ?

if so, use an ethernet adapter to connect to your router .. run a FULL system update .. then REBOOT

Once rebooted
Code: [Select]
uname -a
should say you're now on the 5.0 kernel not 4.18 .. then the above instructions should work

Have you connected via an ethernet cable ?

if so, open the update manager .. click the "Refresh" button .. then when a list of updates appear, click the "Install Updates" button .. and when done, REBOOT.

Or...

Open a terminal and run:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update
then
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
then reboot
