ADD Blocker Question
« on: November 24, 2019, 12:28:11 pm »
I'm new to running Peppermint.  I heard that it has an add blocker through the hosts file. Does Peppermint automatically update the add blocker? If so, where are you getting those updates?

The adblocker downloads the list(s) ONCE as it is applied .. they are not updated 'on the fly' as that would require running some kind of daemon/service and we're all about keeping the footprint small

If you want to update them, unload the adblocker(s) and re-apply them .. a new set will be downloaded and applied.

from (depending on which you choose in the GUI frontend):-
mvps.org
sysctl.org
yoyo.org

You can get the source code for the adblocker here:
