After installing Pepp 10 on a Intel NUC 6CAYH; I can only get on the net with wireless. Thanks in advance.

Your device [8086:24fb] should theoretically be covered by the r8169 driver, so first try running

sudo modprobe r8169
and see if wireless springs to life.

If it does STOP NOW and let me know .. it probably won't survive a reboot but we can fix that.



If it does NOT spring to life (doing the above), try this...

Whilst connected to the internet wirelessly run:

sudo apt-get install build-essential dkms r8168-dkms
when finished, reboot, then test your wired connection.

It was the LAN that was not enabled. Not the wireless. Never the less; I never ran the GREP command because after a reboot; the LAN was working. The only thing that happened is that the screen blanker kicked in and I could not get it to fire up the display. I tried everything. Moved the mouse, hit escape, tried control X, space bar, finally I used the three finger salute and the OS shut down. Once I restarted Pepp 10 all is well. Very strange. Thank you for all your help.
