Hello,

Newbie here in need of help. After 2 days of testing linux distros i decided to go with peppermint.
I did the following downloaded iso from offical site, used rufus first  from my windows machine then i used unetbootin from another machine,
i run always into the same problem. When i boot my usb i press escape and i select my usb.
I get : Try peppermint live os, Install pepermint os, doesnt matter which one i choose always the same result. After clicking any of those i get a grey screen and from there i cant do anything.
I tried 34bit and 64bit but still the same issue.
My laptop is asus Intel celeron cpu n2840 2.16ghz 4gb of ram.
Could someone help or did somone run into the same problem?

If you hit the Esc key, is there any text displayed onscreen ?

Sorry for late reply, been trying all kind of distros. Curently running linuxmint, Installation went without problems but i still want to install PP10.
Nothing happens when i hit any key, i tried nomodeset it doenst do anything. I just have to shut my laptop on power button cant do anything.
By the way i tried PP10 in virtualbox and it installs and runs better then almost any distro on my laptop, if that helps.

From within Mint, can you give us the output from:
Code: [Select]
inxi -Fz

Could it be kernel issue maybe.
I also get black screen when booting installed version of linux mint, then i choose older kernel and it runs.
But i had no trouble booting from live usb.

a) Can you please copy/paste the terminal output AS TEXT into this forum .. pictures aren't searchable.

and

b) Even in your picture you have a window covering half the text :-\

It certainly could be as Mint is running the 4.15 kernel from 18.04, where Peppermint 10 is running the 5.0.0 kernel from 19.04

Try Peppermint 9 instead:
https://peppermintos.com/iso/Peppermint-9-20190102-amd64.iso
then if you wish follow this tutorial to upgrade Peppermint 9 --> Peppermint 10, but keeping Peppermint 9's 4.15 kernel:
