use a win10 .json file in Firefox...p10 sees it as program
« on: October 12, 2019, 10:14:02 pm »
Well, the title tells only part of the story.  Win10 had a hemmorhage, needs massive rebuild. Using my P10 machine as daily driver.

Prior to the win10 meltdown, I had backed up several files to an external USB enclosure.  Plugged in the enclosure, and P10 sees all drives/files. Great! Moved appropriate .json files, for bookmarks and logins, to the desktop.  Here is where the problem begins.

P10 sees these files as Program rather than Binary, when I put them in the current P10 Firefox profile. So they don't work.  Is there a way to make this happen, or am I just screwed ?

Mod: If this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it :)
Some say I suffer from insanity. This is untrue ... I enjoy every minute of it.

Okay lets assume you have a file called myfile.json on your desktop.

Can you post the output from:
Code: [Select]
ls -l ~/Desktop/myfile.json
