Is there a keyboard shortcut for switching workstations?

I don't think so, you have to physically get up and walk to another desk.

Hi jeffiths,

As far as I have determined, it is only possible to use a keyboard shortcut for changing workspaces if you disable nemo from controlling the desktops. That also means doing away with desktop icons. This is what I do (because I do not like desktop icons and love being able to switch desktops with my keyboard shortcuts). I may be wrong about this, but I do not know any other way of doing it.

Regards,

Yes this code works on nearly any Linux Desktop
Code: [Select]
Ctrl+Alt Left or Right Arrows

I always change mine to
Code: [Select]
Alt+Left and Right Arrows

Also change sending opened windows to other Desktops with
Code: [Select]
Alt+1 Alt+2 Alt+3 Alt+4
Depending on how many Workspaces you have setup?

Makes my life simpler. The only gripe I have is that all the keyboard shortcuts are not in order in the list, but it's a great little game of spot the keyboard shortcut you wanna change in Peppermint Control Center.  :D

Plus it is a fantastic utility that Mark wrote for Peppermint, saving us time opening up separate Window Manager Tweaks, like you have to in XFCE, Xubuntu or in Linux Mint's version of XFCE. Here in Peppermint it is all in one place.

The only other shortcut I change is LXlock

Code: [Select]
Alt+l
Locks the screen in no time at all and I still prefer the clock coming up on the desktop with the blurred background, though the login screen is safer than this, but they both require your password to log back in with and the great thing about Linux is choice, set it up to how you want then leave it the hell alone to get on with whatever you're doing on it?
Not only is Peppermint an addictive OS to use.

You do realise you can still use the old custom i3lock in Pep10 right Mr Slim ?
(it's still there, you just need to uninstal light-locker and light-locker-settings and the old i3lock will become active automagically)

Yeah I always uninstall lightlocker. I do it from Synaptic because it automatically uninstalls lightlocker-settings.  ;D
