sound stops working after waking laptop from suspend.

Looks like it is a bug with the bios. I already updated the bios on this hp 15 bs200 series laptop and that didn't fix the issue.
Changing the suspend to hibernate on laptop lid close fixes the issue.
Open /etc/systemd/logind.conf file with your favorite text editor as root. Next find and uncomment HandleLidSwitch= and switch it from suspend to hibernate
You make also have to open /etc/UPower/UPower.conf as root and look for and uncomment IgnoreLid= and change it from false to true.

Nice, glad you found a workaround that works for you .. and thanks for taking the time to share it, you never know when someone else might find themselves with the same issue :)
