Slack notification icon is not working
« on: May 28, 2019, 08:56:25 am »
When I minimize Slack to the notification area all I see is this icon

The icon never changes so I can not see any new notifications

using Slack from the snap store; slack              3.4.2            14    stable     slack✓        classic

This is on a fresh install of Peppermint 10 using the Peppermix-Pink icon theme.

It seems like it does not help to change the icon theme. I get either this 'missing image' icon or no icon at all

According to gnome-software the slack snap is still beta.

Maybe you should try the flatpak ?

But personally I'd go here
https://slack.com/intl/en-gb/downloads/linux
and get the .deb version.

Both snaps and flatpaks often have system integration issues.

I was using the deb version during the pep10 beta and it worked as expected.
