Hello fellow Linus users. I have an Asus Notebook running on Peppermint 9. I cannot get my Bluetooth speaker to work on it. When I launch the Bluetooth manager I get the following dialogue box pop up:
"Bluez daemon is not running, blueman-manager cannot continue."
I checked in the synaptic package manager and it is installed so I dunno what is going on.
The speaker is a good one (Goodman) and only had it a few weeks and it works on my Android tablet and Chromebook ( which died yesterday as the connection for the battery cable seems to have got a fault, so taking that to a computer repair shop tomorrow). So the notebook is my main computer right now. I just have to use the line in and plug it into the notebook to work, but I hate having some many cables attached to it ( as the battery does not work). It'd be great if I could get the Bluetooth to work. Any help would be very much appreciated.
