[solved]No sound after kernel update
« on: March 18, 2019, 04:20:00 am »
I've installed kernel 4.18.0-16-generic rebooted my machine but now I am stuck with "Dummy Sound problem"

I tried

sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base
sudo apt-get remove --purge pulseaudio
sudo apt-get install alsa-base
sudo apt-get install pulseaudio
sudo alsa force-reload

Still dummy sound issue.

Hi darknet,

Maybe try kernel 4.19.29 -- the 4.19 series is supposed to be an LTS release IIRC.
