BitTube - Videos on Blockchain
« on: March 15, 2019, 01:14:35 am »
I've been checking out BitTube, tonight. It's a a revolutionary, decentralized video streaming platform.

Video quality is outrageously good. I watched a few music videos, such as: https://goo.gl/M6qjGU

Then, of course, I wondered if there were any Peppermint OS videos available. There were.

Guess who else is over there?!?!?  https://goo.gl/5FCWE3

Nice one, Steve  ;D

This is a problem, PC, I didn't set up anything on BitTube. I didn't know it existed. Thanks for bringing this up, Vin.

My pleasure, Steve.

Your video will live forever. There are no servers involved. It survives on millions of PCs e.g. no way to delete it, or remove you from the web.

Kinda scary, huh?

That's fantastic Vin, could this be utilized in some way to host instructional videos for the forum ?

Haven't tried it yet, but I don't know why one couldn't upload instructional videos.

That's probably how Steve's video made its way over there: https://bit.tube/uploadmedia

Someone uploaded it...  ;)

I just hope no one is impersonating me on BitTube. On one hand, it makes me feel good that someone likes them enough to do it but on the other hand they shouldn't claim to be me.

I agree, people shouldn't try to pass themselves off as someone else .. that would be really annoying ;)

You have to admit, that would be a cool title for a series on peppermint. Think of it as a play on English Bob's "ooooonnnn the pepp"
