I was on Alan Pope's Twitter page, and noticed this interesting retweet, from Martin Wimpress:

Looks like they're getting serious...  ;)

I'm busy putting Amibian on the RasPi Zeb gave me .. Apparently the RasPi3 makes a better Amiga than Commodore :)

You can even get some crazy cases for the Pi :)

Told ya I'd get an Amiga :)

I owned an Amiga 500 'Fat Agnus' with 1 MB RAM. Does that count?

It cost me $360 to populate a piggyback with 1 MB of USED RAM - new RAM (at that time) would have been astronomical. LoL

The big question is, will that RasPi3 do Genlock? If not, it's a cute imitation of the real thing - that's all.

Er... just saying. No offense intended  :)

Oh sure, I'm not saying you can use a video toaster with it, but that's not what I want it for (nor do I plan on running LightWave)  .. I'm just into (possibly a rose tinted) revisiting of AREXX and a bit of retro gaming.

I do gather there's some talk of the possibly of genlocking the HDMI outputs from 2 Pi's .. dunno how realistic that is, but I'd put NOTHING past the Amiga community, hell they're probably more imaginative and technically proficient than even the Linux one ;)

You also have to bear in mind the Pi is very expandable itself, so maybe an expansion board .. there's still a very lively new hardware scene for the Amiga.

Never say never where Amiga is concerned .. no other old tech has the same following with new hardware still being produced (I don't think you Americans quite know how big and well loved the Amiga was in the rest of the world) ;)

True, for the most part. However, I have a keen appreciation and admiration for Amigas.

If mine hadn't been stolen during a burglary, while I was out of town, I'd likely still be using it   ;)

Bwahahahahahahaha. Talking about oldies but goodies...

The right button on my Dell PS/2 ball mouse just quit working - no travel, button stays down.

That's why I buy them ten (10) at a time on eBay, when I run out of replacements.

I hope they never run out of PS/2 mice - the 'Amigas' of the mouse world, but I digress.  ::)
