Microsoft Office 2016
« on: February 14, 2019, 03:15:40 pm »
Has anyone managed to install Microsoft Office 2016 using Wine and get Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word to work. I get it to install but when I try to open any of the office applications I window appears saying that it is configuring and then gets right to the end saying it is finalizing and then a small window comes up saying that it needs to do a reboot, so I select Yes and then another small window comes up and says a process is preventing it to reboot, terminate or cancel. If you leave it, it goes away but it doesn't reboot and I try a manual reboot. When I then try to open one of the office applications after it has rebooted it brings up the configuring window again and you go round and round in circles.

I personally can't help much with WINE, I don't use it .. maybe you could consider Codeweavers Crossover 17 or 18, they're supposed to support Microsoft Office 2016

Otherwise, maybe the WINE forum might be a better place to ask for assistance.
(I'm not trying to stop you asking here, just suggesting they may be more help)
