How to make the display grayscale?
« on: February 01, 2019, 09:47:38 am »
I want my screen to appear grayscale all around, which includes all apps, desktop screen, everything.

Please help me. I searched the web, tried somethings, but could not get anywhere with this.

Hi Fristo,

I'm not sure what you mean.  :-\ Are you trying to get a non-colorized GUI (where the only 'colors' are shades of gray)?

Tread lightly: Fluxbox, JWM, i3, Openbox, awesome

Nope! The extension on that post is for gnome and Peppermint uses xfce with a few lxde components.
You could use one of my favorite themes, equilux https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1182169/ as the base gtk-theme.
Then, you could try to find a suitable icon-theme, for example this one https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1277095/

Have a look through the available icon themes at https://www.gnome-look.org/browse/cat/132/

Or you could try to look through this guy's set-up https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/comments/akx0d1/xfce_trying_something_comfy/
