Changing file associations doesn't take. [solved]
« on: January 27, 2019, 12:09:33 pm »
Menu > Settings > Default Applications for LXDE

I changed the image viewer from Xviewer to gThumbs.

But when I double-click on a  png or jpg, they still open with Xviewer.

I've rebooted, no change (and in that settings editor, the change was gone).

What am I doing wrong?

Right click on a .jpg or .png, from the drop down menu click "Open With" from the next drop down menu click "Other Application", from the next screen select the application you want to use for that particular file type then select "Set As Default"

From then on it will use that application for the selected file type

Also take note you'll have to do that for jpg files and for png files.
What was I thinking?
