USB automount does not survive reboot
« on: January 23, 2019, 09:01:14 am »
Since USB pendrive automount was removed in P9 (maybe earlier, I came from P5
where it worked), I have installed peppermint-volman,7102.msg72678.html#msg72678

It works across logout/login but not reboot.
I remember me checking the Nemo setting (Edit/Preferences/Behaviour/Media Handling)
called "Automatically mount removeable media when inserted and on startup" so
I expect it could automount it on boot as well.
Could someone suggest a solution, thanks.

Also, something I can not explain but I can live with it.
Different USB pens have different drop-down menus when right-clicked.
All my Transcends have Eject and Safely Remove Drive.
Kingston, Toshiba only have Eject.
Different USB pens show different icons on the desktop when mounted.
I have a multiboot USB which looks like a text document on desktop,
others are shown as removable media icons of various style.

It won't remount after a reboot (unless you unpleg/replug) because it hasn't detected a plug event.
