Hotkeys / shortcuts are a f'ng nightmare in peppermint
« on: December 17, 2018, 12:05:30 pm »
Xubuntu has much better support and working basics. How come peppermint has destroyed these?

Some specific ones:

  • Windows/Meta: Start menu opens on KEY DOWN, not KEY UP event.
  • Windows/Meta+Arrows: Does not move window to edge, minimize/maximize like it should
  • No hotkeys/shortcuts for quick launch

There is others too in muscle memory. Where do i fix these?

I tried to setup a custom shortcut for "calculator" button on my keyboard, but the change does not take.

We should get these fixed, these are a tremendous buden on usability.

I can get these done and submit a patch. Where should such a patch made, and what config files are involved?

Modify keyboard shortcuts

in terminal type

xfwm4-settings

then click on keyboard , then select the one you want and click edit
