:-\ Anybody else having some weird Firefox SSB activity?  I close a firefox ssb... and a few minutes later an error message pops up saying "Firefox had a problem and crashed." Except the only problem is I closed the instance on purpose.

Other times I go to open Firefox again and get
"Firefox is already running..." which is an ancient problem from the early days... So I waited and caught both...

As for unticking firefox's data collection... I would if I could figure out how to access them? Alt to get toolbar and Edit > Preferences doesn't open anything anymore   >:(

AAAHHH, I remembered, create bookmarks and then allow the sidebar view ... bingo access returned...

 >:( Well, no this is not resolved. Firefox SSB is not remembering my settings, deleting addons and I once again was greeted with both error messages this morning after fixing everything yesterday. Let me pay a little closer attention so I know what to report back. I have one of my SSB's set to never remember history. I also noted that when I edit an SSB's target url, it opens as if its a brand new never before used SSB without saving any of my prior configurations. Also there's some erratic behaviour in that clicking on some links opens the link in the tab, while others do nothing... feels like a Firefox/gecko change as opposed to anything to do with a peppermintOS one...

You have to set "when you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" .. or disable "Open links in tabs instead of new windows".

I have no idea what you mean by either

Firefox SSB is not remembering my settings

I've never had issues with them not remembering settings .. and how are you editing thre URL ?

I want my SSBs to take me to my profile or directly into the app... not hand me a page where I hafta log in every single time. Once again today, my two SSB's forgot my log in credentials along with all of my previous settings. As in the book marks are gone, the addons/extentions are gone.

As for what I mean by:
Code: [Select]
I also noted that when I edit an SSB's target url, it opens as if its a brand new never before used SSB without saving any of my prior configurations

I have been right clicking on the menu icon for an SSB and changing the URL when it wants to drop me on a login page and inserting the url to my profile... when I have done this, all settings and bookmarks have been erased.

I get that I probably should just delete the SSB and start over, but sometimes I want to save what work I have already done. instead of tracking down addons and extensions and settings in every new SSB

Hello. Actually I've been getting this for a couple of days now. Not just with the SSB though. Whenever I close any instance of Firefox, the crash reporter pops up seconds after. Also, when I tried to deactivate the sync feature, it gets stuck. Any tips. Thank you.

Have you tried disabling crash reporting in FF ?

Disabling Crash Reporting is what solved this at the time @PCNetSpec, my apologies for neglecting to thank you and mark it [reSOLVED]
