Hi DARKBOW923,

I'm sorry but I do not understand what you are wanting to do.  :-\ Do you mean the window border or the entire window? If it is the latter, then how can you use it? Sorry if I seem so dumb, but I really do not get it.  ???

Regards,

Minimize it? I mean, that hides it. Unless you want it completely hidden from view, as in not even on the taskbar, then murraymint has a great suggestion.

I'm not aware of any apps that do this .. theoretically it would be scriptable using tools like xdotool to minimise the window(s) and possibly something like
Code: [Select]
wmctrl -x -r "Navigator.Firefox" -b toggle,skip_taskbar
or
Code: [Select]
wmctrl -x -r "Navigator.Firefox" -b add,skip_taskbar
wmctrl -x -r "Navigator.Firefox" -b remove,skip_taskbar
to hide the open window from the panel

If it helps...
Code: [Select]
xdotool getactivewindow set_window --name "hidden_window" windowminimize && wmctrl -r "hidden_window" -b add,skip_taskbar
will change the name of the currently active window to "hidden_window" and minimize it, then remove it's panel/taskbar button.
Code: [Select]
xdotool search --name "hidden_window" windowraise && wmctrl -r "hidden_window" -b remove,skip_taskbar
will un-minimize the window that's now called "hidden_window" and reinstate its panel/taskbar button.

OR...

If you KNOW the window name (usually whatever is in the windows titlebar) is say "My Game", you could make the commands:-
Code: [Select]
xdotool search --name "My Game" windowminimize && wmctrl -r "My Game" -b add,skip_taskbar
and
Code: [Select]
xdotool search --name "My Game" windowraise && wmctrl -r "My Game" -b remove,skip_taskbar

you really need to look into xdotool and wmctrl (and possibly xprops for getting window names/ID's/classes) .. then write your own scripts, and set keyboard shortcuts to them.
