The UbuntuPit website has released a "Top 10 Best Windows Alternative Open Source Operating Systems"
https://www.ubuntupit.com/top-10-best-windows-alternative-open-source-operating-system/

And I'll bet you can guess which Red/White/Grey distro made the grade ;)

I'm happy to see Peppermint on that list.  Peppermint is easier to install, update, and use than Windows.  Also, Peppermint has excellent community support behind it -- the likes of which you'll never find with Windows.  I found it odd, however, that Mehedi Hasan, at UbuntuPit, decided not to include Ubuntu 18.04 on the list.  I can't imagine that that was an oversight.  I wonder what he was thinking.
[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

Why wouldn't Peppermint be on the list?  :D

I was surprised by some of the picks, like Chalet OS.  I didn't think it was progressing forward.  :-\

Great Job, Peppermint Team!
