du -hs /var/log/journal/
81M   /var/log/journal/

boot from the moment that grub shows and i select peppermint with 'enter'  to the logon screen is 50 sec. and that is the same as before.
but i am thinking, its still much faster than win10, so why bother, ore is it slower than it should?
