Update Manager (SOLVED)
« on: August 11, 2018, 05:04:20 am »
I am new to Peppermint. My question is, should I install all packages offered in Update Manager that appear? In reading the description of Level 4 and 5 packages it would seem that not installing those packages would be advisable. I was also unable to find this topic being covered in a search of the forums. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Yes, you should install them all. The updater is from Mint, and the levels 1-5 thing is their thing. Peppermint doesn't follow their ethos, but we like the updater. So, we recommend installing all updates.

scifidude79 - Thank you for the quick response. Thought that might be the case but figured it would be worth asking about it.

So far, so good. Peppermint feels very polished and well laid out.
