As PCNetSpec asked, can you try

Code: [Select]
export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt && /usr/bin/et
Are you using the latest version of WPS?  The version I downloaded works fine so is a bit confusing why it doesn't work

Had a similar issue I fixed mine by changing the Customize Look and Feel  Settings - go to Peppermint Settings Panel click on Customize Look and Feel and change it to a  Peppermint-(Color)- Light and see if that makes a difference

Hi ronaldo48a

I have managed to recreate the errors you are getting.

Suggest for the moment, change the launcher in the menu editor back to the default
Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/et %f
It seems that the background of the spreadsheet depends on which theme is used as posted by Lord Rodin.

The recommended fix of adding -style XXX to the launcher causes a segmentation fault for the recommended options apart from gtk+ but using this theme is the same as not using the option

PCNetSpec opening in a terminal using
export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt && /usr/bin/et
opens the spreadsheet using whatever theme is set in customize look and feel for the spreadsheet background.

Apart from a few "skin" option, it doesn't look like there are any other theme options.

Would a theme lock script such as used for Firefox/Thunderbird be an option?
......to infinity and beyond..............

Does running this in a terminal start it with the correct theming
Code: [Select]
export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt && /usr/bin/et?
I'm real sorry. I missed your help. I did but the background is still black.

I have solved the problem. Thanks Lord Rodin a lot. We did change the "Widget" from "dark" to light. That's all.
Thanks everyone for helping me.
Enjoy peppermintos.
