Hi caskin, and welcome to the forum :)

Is the volume notification only missing when you use the hardware volume buttons/keys ?
(but you do get notification if you use the panel applet .. by hovering your mouse over the volume icon in the system tray and using the scroll wheel)

If so, see if this fixes the issue.

Welcome aboard, caskin.

I own a HP Elite 6005 SFF (AMD) & HP Elite 8000 SFF.(Intel)

HPs seem to be underrated and underrepresented, in the Linux community, but Peppermint runs great on them.

Have fun!  :)

Thanks guys. PCNetSpec that did resolve my issue, I appreciate you looking that up.

I love the little HP's, work scraps them every couple years so I have a few spares just in case one gives up. Slap a SSD in there and they fly.

Hi caskin, welcome to our fantastic community  ;).  It's good to know you're liking Peppermint 9  :).

I use a couple of HP laptops.  They're retired ones from my wife's work.  I like them a lot.  They're dead easy to maintain and upgrade.   I'm using at the moment an HP Elitebook 8470p.  I've upgraded it to a dual drive with a 240GB SanDisk Ultra II SSD and a 1TB Seagate FireCuda SSHDPeppermint 9 is as near to a perfect fit as you'll ever get on this laptop.  It goes like a high octane dragster too  ;D.

Thanks, glad to be on board.

Sadly I'm still using an HP8510p. I just don't have the heart to replace it, its a tank that won't quit. It was my work laptop for 6 years and now it doesn't leave my house. My kids have a 500watt gaming beast and I'm running almost legacy stuff.
