Hello

I am trying to get an Avatar to  display on my login screen.  I did get a background image to display ( See my earlier post) here: [http://forum.peppermintos.com/index.php/topic,407.msg3325.html#msg3325]

But I would like to display an avatar instead of the default "silhouette" at the startup screen.

This is probably easy, I just don't know what config file to edit, perhaps the lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf file?  If so what command should I use?

Thanks for any guidance.

Put a .png or .jpg in your home folder .. then rename it to

.face

(don't miss out he ".", and no extension)

I think the preferred size is around 90x90 .. but I'm pretty sure they get resized anyway.

for clarity - it wants to go at:-
/home/<username>/.face

:)  Thanks, That was incredibly easy.  I had tried to rename it (name).face  But this turned the trick.

Thanks SDGengineer
