Kernel panic after LiveCD (peppermint 9)
« on: July 13, 2018, 10:14:26 am »
Guys, i have problems with Peppermint 9 LiveCD. First, i burned Peppermint 9 Install CD(amd64) to my dvd disk then i reboot and peppermint imstall menu appears after choosing "Try Peppermint without installing" and kernel panic appears (look at image below)

Tried with usb stick, same issue. Also tried other distros such as Ubuntu, same issue..

Do you know how to add the "noapic" kernel boot parameter as a test ?

Have you tried the acpi=off kernel boot parameter .. again just as a boot test, I'm not suggesting this as the fix.

So I'm guessing it didn't work then ?

Does ANY distro/version work ?

Can you tell us a bit about your hardware, such as laptop maker/model ?

Ok, my computer is HP dc5800 SFF, my cpu is intel core 2 duo e7300 @ 2.66GHz.

Bu the acpi=off didn't work, manjaro not working, ubuntu and its derriratives isnt working.. Debian stretch working. without acpi=off
