HP Probook 6445b Lid problems(SOLVED)
« on: July 04, 2018, 02:31:39 pm »
Hello Peppermint people, I'm having problems with the lid of this laptop, I can't get back into the system if I close the lid for a short time and then open it. I don't know if I'm supposed to press something special or what, if I press enter, nothing happens. Holding the power button down for a couple of seconds will light up all the lights, but no monitor awaking. I end up having to power down and then restart the laptop. This is strange to me because my Samsung laptop doesn't have this problem, I can just tap the power button and it wakes right up. Can somebody please guide me to the solution?  :'(

If you'd like it moved, that's not a problem.

I think it may be best to move it, keep it with the other monitor threads. Thanks scifidude79.

No problem at all. I can't help with laptop lid issues, but I can at least move a thread. ;)

Well something is better than nothing. ;D

I think I fixed my problem, at least with it running on AC. I googled the problem and one gent suggested it's all in the power manager and to right click the battery icon. I had to select turn off monitor when lid is closed instead of suspend or lock. So far so good so I think I'll leave it at that and give the laptop back to my niece. I'm sure she'll let me know if she has any other problems.
