AFAIK, I'm afraid not.

The slick-greeter configuration options can be seen here

As far as I can see, no.  It appears to default to the centre point of the screen's geometry,

These instructions are for Peppermint 9 ONLY .. if you're using any other version, STOP NOW

Okay, I've built a versions of slick-greeter (for Peppermint 9) that have a transparent cursor.

If you're still using Peppermint 8, DO NOT use the files attached below .. Peppermint 8 uses a different version of slick-greeter, trying these files in Peppermint 8 may result in a broken login screen .. you have been warned. ( twice now :) )

You can find them attached below, just download ONE of the two files (depending on your architecture) and double-click it to install.

Be sure to get the right architecture:-
For 64bit Peppermint 9, download slick-greeter_1.1.4-1+blank-cursor0.0.0_amd64.deb
For 32bit Peppermint 9, download slick-greeter_1.1.4-1+blank-cursor0.0.0_i386.deb

As i suggested, the cursor is still there, it's just blank/transparent .. you can see this by moving the cursor to the very top-right of the login screen and clicking, and you'll see the "Close" dialog will still appear.

If at any stage you want to get back to the original version of slick-greeter (with the cursor), just run:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install slick-greeter=1.1.4-1
