For those that are looking for an alternative to VLC for watching video's, we've now added the latest version of XPlayerr (one of Linux Mint's X-Apps) to the Peppermint 9 repositories.

If you'd like to give it a whirl

sudo apt update
then
Code: [Select]
sudo apt install xplayer xplayer-plugins xplayer-plugins-extra
you should then find it in the menu at:-

Menu > Multimedia > Media Player

I get this when I try

My mistake alynur .. it's xplayer not xviewer .. Doh! :-[

Sweet! I like VLC, but I'm still going to give this a look. I like Xplayer. :)

No sweat on the mistake, bro. We all make them. Though, I saw this earlier and was wondering what Xviewer was. ;)

xviewer is an image viewer (a fork of eog aka. Eye Of Gnome but without those daft client side decorations Gnome are using everywhere now) .. in fact it's our default image viewer :)
(probably why it was stuck in my head)
