Lock screen AND suspend screen on lid shut?
« on: June 26, 2018, 10:50:35 am »
In the power management settings, choosing "Lock screen" on lid shut options provides security, but drains the battery and heats up the computer. Suspending fixes these issues, but there is no lock screen when the lid is opened.
Can I combine these two somehow, to have the computer go to sleep and lock the screen when the lid is shut?

Thanks!  :D

On the System Tab in Xfce Power Manager there is a tick box "Lock screen when system is going to sleep"

Interesting that someone wants a lock screen on Suspend and I cannot get rid of one!  I have not ticked the box you mention above but I still get the round clock-like lock that requires my password whenever I come back from Suspend.  Anywhere else in system to turn this off?

On the System Tab in Xfce Power Manager there is a tick box "Lock screen when system is going to sleep"

The checkbox is checked and the screen still doesn't lock when the lid is shut (if it's set to suspend).
