Dont want to move windows from ALT + Mouse
« on: June 18, 2018, 10:53:57 am »
One program in Wine use ALT key to move an object in his workspace. Only with the ALT key. But I can not move this object in this program because when I want to hold ALT + Mouse the main window is moving.

The program use only the ALT key for move on object. So I dont change from ALT key to any keys.

So one solution is possible:  How to change the peppermint system so that the ALT button does not move the entire window. Or how to switch the ALT key to another key?

No one know how could I change the ALT key wich the system use to another? The program use only the ALT key and this can not be changed in the program. So the only option is to replace the ALT button used by the operating system, for example, CTRL.

Or  dont understand my question?

Ok, I found the answer if anybody want to have it:

"
Open a terminal and run:
Code: [Select]
xfwm4-tweaks-settings
in the resulting "Window Manager Tweaks" utility, choose the "Accessibility" tab

Now change:-

Key used to grab and move windows: ALT
or
Key used to grab and move windows: Control
"

Hello MotosZ,

Apologies for no one getting back to you and thank you for posting your solution to your problem - it will help others I am sure.

Would you be able to go back to your original post and click "Modify" and add [Solved] to the end of the subject line.   This will help future people who may have the same problem.
