Ever loaded a Linux text file into Windows Notepad, only to discover all the formatting is lost and it's all on one single line ?

Well Notepad now supports Linux line feeds :)

That's good news.

Is this part of their hidden agenda? Or are they targeting Linux compatibility?

As someone in the comments suggested, I think Microsoft finally saw this poll on Twitter

Well, that's good to know. It seems Microsoft wasn't kidding a while back when they claimed to now love Linux.

Yep, Nadella is definitely a different proposition than Gates (primarily concerned with taking over the world, and if that meant stamping on others so be it) or Ballmer (primarily concerned with not being seen to fall short of the Gates legacy) :)

Yeah, it's refreshing. He seems to understand the value of Linux and that it's not going anywhere, whereas the other two just wanted to stamp it out for "threatening" the Microsoft Empire. (though, crappy releases and the rise of mobile have already threatened it)
