/etc/resolv.conf - trying to change dns (SOLVED)

I cant seem to fine this file in the file manager and when i type this in the terminal it gives me a read only file. 

Trying to use 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare).  What is my problem?

/etc is owned by root, not your user. You'll need to preface the editor command with sudo.

Ahh got it, this is why i post in newbie section :)

sudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf

I set to 1.1.1.1

and now i see
none    Cloudflare    United States

Before it had the  city i live in and isp, now its "usa"
