slow boot?
« on: July 17, 2014, 01:49:49 pm »
when i boot peppermint 5 ,i see  a black screen with the words "scanning for btrfs filesystems".
Then the screen flashes very quickly and the same words are still there.

It seems to slow the boot process a bit .
Is there a way to stop this scan for btrfs filesystems?

p.s..it doesn't slow it that much :)

but it's just a small niggle.

p.s...Peppermint 5 looks fantastic and runs great  , it deserves to to be in the top 5 of user friendly linux os.
or is that top 3  :)

Hi, chubbychops:
As already solved in this forum (a quick search of the forum before posting is always a good idea  ;) ), all you need to do is start Synaptic and remove the package btrfs-tools.
