Everyone seems to be banging on FF forks whenever they show up...
...here on chrome forks, https://www.howtogeek.com/108384/6-alternative-browsers-based-on-google-chrome/
just to keep it fair.

Yeah - "That’s why we recommend against using these smaller Firefox-based browsers, and why we also recommend against using alternative browsers based on Google Chrome. " was in the Firefox article - so they were not being one sided  :)

Having an updated browser should always be a must. The problem is that some web services just don't care to be on the same page with newer browser versions, that dropped old and insecure technologies. I use Palemoon to have access to one of these services (an old court system to file petitions). Sure, they're more insecure, but I'm glad someone is working to keep the final user covered. Use it for some specific tasks and don't go around visiting some random links.
The weakest link in security is always the user.
There are neither beginnings or endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.

Use whatever browser you like on your own PC, it's nobody else's call but yours.

I do agree with Mr. Moderator. It's your PC at the end of the day. I have Chrome and Firefox on my laptop.
