(SOLVED) wi-fi connections not detected
« on: January 21, 2018, 10:03:46 am »
Edit: I've marked the problem as solved because after adding details for one of the networks manually, I restarted the computer and things seem to be working normally now. Odd because this computer hasn't done that even once since the fresh install, but phew!

I've installed Peppermint (8 upgraded to 8 Respin) on a netbook and it isn't picking up any wi-fi connections automatically. It's connecting automatically to two of three, but only as a wired network. I can see all the wi-fi connections it's used so far, including one I had to add manually, in the list titled Wi-Fi in Network Connections.

What might be going on? I need to hand over this computer to its owner in a very short while so I'm very much hoping someone can help me fix this soon!

Thanks in advance!
