I used to be glued to Leo Laporte back when he and the gang arrived on @TechTV... loved that show and the characters... Sadly, they kept me glued to the Windows environment longer than I should have been in retrospect. Thanks for the waltz down memory lane zebedeeboss

Sadly, they kept me glued to the Windows environment longer than I should have been in retrospect.

I know the feeling.

Heh! I did two winders 7 => '10' installs this week - one at the Union Hall, and one for the missus.

Thinking about doing a couple of more for shiggles  :D

MS will supposedly quit giving '10' away for free on Tuesday, January 16th (unless they extend the offer yet again).

Figured I might as well get rid of '7' while the getting's good ...

Now that I think about it in retrospect, as spence put it ...

It's not so much about winders 10 as ... I have a deep-seated, visceral hatred for winders 7.

Anything I can do to eradicate '7' from the Internet Ecosystem is worth the effort IMO ;)

Long about the 28 minute mark, they once again sorta dive into a "Windows Only" mode when they go off on the idea that "ALL Third Party AV is now suspect...."

I had my other half double check that his AV (Avira) was working properly on the Windows machines he uses, thankfully it was...

Guess I faded away from the https://twit.tv/shows universe after finding peppermintOS back in 2010... as all of Leo's shows are Microsoft-centric... well he does have All about Android... and FLOSS Weekly, but I don't care about most Android things and Floss Weekly is 99.9975% about enterprise...

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've been asked if I "play the guitar."

My pat answer is, "No. But, my wife's name is Yoko. How queer is that?"

Some ppl get it, some ppl don't -- but, my wife always slaps me and walks away in disgust.

She hates it when I do that ... LoL!  :D
