Dunno .. I'll have to look up what "multi-quoting" is first  :-[

Alright, the quick buttons for quote, modify, etc should no longer be pushing up against the edge.

BTW, I'm short on time, so I'll just ask here... Is there a way to turn on 'multi-quoting' on SMF?  Or, am I just overlooking a button?

I'm really not sure. Perhaps PCNetSpec will offer some insight as he knows this thing WAY better than I do.

@ kendall .. that's much better, thanks :)

Multi Quotes - There is a Multi Quote MOD, but it currently hasn't been updated to work in SMF 2.0.7 .. I can install it, but apparently it enters the mutiple quotes in a random order in SMF 2.0.7

If you remind me every now and again, I'll return to check if it's been updated.

Or you can check yourself here:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2360
and if/when you see 2.0.7 listed let me know

Sorry, I didn't mean to be enigmatic. :)

Multi-Quote allows you to flag more than one post, for quoting.  Then, when you click a regular Quote button, all of the posts you flagged  will come up in the editor.

For instance, I wanted to reply to both you and Kendall in a single reply.  Without 'multi-quoting' I would have needed to manually copy and paste one of your posts into the editor.

Hope that makes sense.  It just saves a lot of time and trouble when you want to combine multiple quotes into a single reply.

One more question regarding the layout of the new forum, is there a way to bookmark a topic like there was on the old board? I can't seem to find one, but it is a handy way to build a sort of personal archive of useful information.
If there isn't one then I can stop looking for it.  :-\
TIA

There is now .. look at the top/bottom of the page, there's now an "ADD BOOKMARK" button

And in the Red Toolbar at the top, there should be a "My Bookmarks" link.

That do ya ?

Hmmm  I logged out and logged back in, and it is not showing here on my end in the top or the bottom?

That actually works very well, now I can bookmark all my threads so I can relate back to them at a later date, almost the same as having the view your own posts button...  :)

I have that mod on the other Linux forum, I personally never use it .. but if you guys want it........

You can already see your own posts .. view your own profile summary, and it's there on the left "show posts"
(you can do this for any user including yourself)
