Good morning all.  I was reorganizing my panel and I removed the start button by accident.  This is no problem as I just re-install it to the panel.  Then I change the default image back to PM4 png.  The start button now has a sickly turquoise glow when I hover the mouse over it.  How do I turn this highlighting off?  Many thanks.

That was easy to fix.  I'd deleted the
Code: [Select]
~/.config/lxpanel/Peppermint/panels/panel
Thankfully, I had a backup file of my edited menu system.  I swapped that for the file in use and ran in the terminal:
Code: [Select]
lxpanelctl restart
Everything is now back to the way I like it  ;D.  Another reason to backup files before and after you edit them.  8).

Edit: For anyone who is interested, it is a good idea to do a:
Code: [Select]
apt update && apt upgrade after you have restored a backup file.  It just brings everything up to date.

Highlighting of the menu button is taken care of by editing
Code: [Select]
gedit ~/.config/lxpanel/Peppermint/panels/paneland changing (or adding) the "tintcolor" line in this section
Code: [Select]
Plugin {
    type = menu
    Config {
        image=/usr/share/peppermint/images/menu-five.png
        tintcolor=#000000
        system {
        }
Personally I set mine to "tintcolor=111111" which makes the menu button have a slight white glow when mouse overed.
