Acer Aspire One 751h
« on: July 06, 2014, 11:41:48 am »
Hi to all,

I am an unfortunate user of a GMA500-based netbook (Acer Aspire One 751h: 1GB RAM, 1,3GHz Atom Z520 CPU) but I was really glad to see that PeppermintOS 5 natively supports my GPU and in addition there have been several related fixes to it, such as the hibernation. On top of that, the OS runs smoothly on my low-spec netbook and I really appreciate that!

Here is my inxi -F output:

this is odd Because I'm running the exact same laptop hardware configuration except with more RAM and bigger harddrive. I've had nothing but quirky issues since installing Peppermint 5.
* audio/video problems with pulseaudio. Solution: use alsa instead.
* wont wake from sleep.  Power button blinks but cannot revive the computer once its asleep.
* hibernate doesnt work at all.

Other than that...it runs well.
